Company History
Hudson Valley Communications began as a Two-Way Radio company in the 1970s. During the 1980s, HVC grew to one of the largest Two-Way Radio dealers in New York. The majority of the FCC licenses eventually sold to NEXTEL, and we focused on technology deployments.
HVC also installed Business Telephone Systems in the 1980s. During the late 1990’s we purchased a cabling company and strengthened our telephony division, and launched us into large-scale Structured Cabling projects for Businesses, School Districts, and Correctional Facilities, hotels, etc.. We also started providing computer networking in the late 1990s.
Hudson Valley Communications is one of the area’s largest interconnects. Our diversified knowledge in computer networking, radiofrequency and existing tower infrastructure built a solid foundation for the startup of Hudson Valley Wireless in 2002.
